0:54 for those first two kills, bro was worse off than a Reyna. Its only after those two kills happened that iso's kit really did anything. I personally think Iso was the weakest duelist by far before these changes, and now he feels like a slightly more consistent reyna that has no flashes. I also think Iso is way more tradable than Reyna or Jett, you just have to have multiple people swing at once. He's mostly a test of how good your team is at swinging together. If they all bait each other and swing one at a time in two second intervals, of course Iso will shit on them. If they swing properly with multiple people at once, then you'd have been better off playing Reyna or Jett in his position.

as an overwatch player, I've already seen this played out. Dive meta with movement heroes were dominating, then devs try to slow the game down and they add no skill defenses to the game, and all of a sudden you've cut the skill ceiling down and everyone is dealing with stupid shields and bullshit buffs. Im telling you...

The amount of people I've seen complain about Iso because they take a dry 1v1 is about equal to the amount of times I see teammates end rounds with utility still remaining. Are you saving the utility for your kids' college fund? It's time people are trained to use utility. It's what makes this game different from CS2.

Thank you for saying it, explaining it, and showing it. I was tired of explaining to everyone how game breaking this is but all everyone thinks about is insta locking iso first because it’s so easy to play the broken character and so they defend this nonsense. I refuse to support this game atm.

I see another yt whiner here again about Iso. Like Iso was really unplayable, now he gets a light of day you start to whine how busted he is? Like get a life man. Iso is now at least viable and that shield at least gives him the capability to take some space. Imagine a jett killing you then dashing away, that’s way more annoying than an Iso which has a shield, but can’t have a way out after that shield is broken, so still tradeable. Like ever heard of crossfire? Valorant is a TEAM, based game. Just because Iso has a buffed shield, does not mean he’s busted or anything. It just means you have to strategize on how to kill him. And not all Iso players are that good in gunfights as well. To all the Iso haters out here, this at least puts him on the map. Like it’s always raze, jett and reyna in my lobbies. At least now Neon and Iso will get more love.

I think what lower ranked people are forgetting is if iso doesn't miss then he will literally win every gun fight as long as he has shield because second shot accuracy is not really a thing

To me its okay to have one agent that is trash or not useful at all. If someone mains him than he deserves to be good at him cause of countless times they play him. But now, even someone who never touched iso and always win the duel is just awful man.I play iso since the release on accent cause i can combo with vulnerable with sova odin and i liked him very much and i practice to be cautious when ulting and how to entry with him. I feel like those times are wasted.

Bro been playing him for the past few days, and the ult is so strong (if luck and aim goes your way) unless you get a unlucky spray and whiff, get one tapped or just lose it’s all very rare and maybe 1x during that whole game, other than that it’s like a 80% win rate that feels more like 95%. Really broken for taking people off bomb and also picking people off during ANY point of the round, pretty insane. Also since i started playing again since Madrid this is the most fun i’ve had, a few aces and a 6k here and there.

I just think the timer after your first shield pops needs to be a lot shorter and it’ll be fine. You also cant balance the game completely around pro-scene. It’ll just be boring af for everyone else

There are 2 things that make him horrible to play against as a plat/dia player: 1. the infinite shields, he can get it back by the orb AND by getting 2 kills. 2. If you hit (a headshot) from a decent distance or from a cheeky corner you loose your first bullet accuracy while he can still have his better shot. This makes holding strange corners or eco sheriff/shotgun rounds impossible to win.

He is strong but playing as a team is the easiest way to counter him

I don't believe Iso is as broken as many people think. The buffs were needed for multiple reasons. 1. His ultimate sucked. 2. He didn't have that duelist playset I thinking giving iso this buff made him stronger are more viable to play. Also saying how is ult is "broken" because it counters other ults is kind of a bad argument because kayo exists. also I think many fans would love to see new team comps in pro play. but most teams would rather pick a raze or Jett over iso due to their scaling ability. This video felt more like hating and insulting the devs instead of trying to give new ideas on to how to make him a little more balanced

okay so hear me out on this: they want to make the game more interesting and its not ruining the game just because something isnt entirely balanced since the more changes that get added and the more agents that come out theres always gonna be something that falls behind and then when it gets boosted everyones gonna freak out until it either gets fixed or people realize it isnt that big of a difference

Honestly hot take but I think its healthy to have an agent that can directly counter some guns in a way. Eco's are a bit of a nightmare due to the lack of options but stingers / full auto guns are the way to go. Eliminating some randomness of shotgun kills or countering an OP is viable I think . It only applies to iso anyway its not like he provides anything for his team in that regard. In terms of being a duellist his util is still shit. the wall is too small to take space reliably. the vulnerable are nice but pretty situational and telegraphed. I think he could use some adjustments but overall I think the change is good, give him one less vulnerable perhaps limit the number of orbs that spawn per round to 2 and id say he's good. WE NEED CHANGE, the game has been so fking stagnant recently, I like it when they release agents like KAY/O that fundamentally change the way you have to play the game because its more interesting. For reference I'm radiant (former) but I literally quit the game for MONTHS almost YEARS because of how boring the game got. I'm actually playing this new patch because it feels different. Even though this is annoying this is healthy for the game and game changing mechanics and maps should be the go to in order to keep the game alive.

Iso is almost untradable sometimes. It would be fine but his sheild is always up. He once popped shield 4 times in 10 seconds :)

dont get me wrong. iso is a very strong agent now, but in 99% of these clips they are giving him 1v1s. the second he gets peeked by 2 players his shield almost provides no advantage. just dont individually peek and this so called "busted" ability becomes not as strong.

Duelists have been underpowered af for a while raze was the best duelist and before it was Jett. Since the last jett nerf duelist has not felt good to play. Btw omen had the same pickrate at vct as jett did 2 years ago. no omen nerfs based on pick rate. ISO is broken and it’s good for the game it’s been boring to play for a while.

They dont care about balancing the game. They manipulate the meta and want this to happen for the show...

i respectfully understand your point seangares, the ult it already op even before this update. you are pin-pointing this out for those 'high-aimers' most of them are pro players and even the results of the upcoming Competitive scenarios. i think it's a little bit op as well. for some people up here don't take this video as in pub, unrated or even ranked perspective . the agent's too op for ESPORTS perspective.

If Raze and Jett are the only ways to dive past defensive utility set ups then why is it so bad that you spend a molly to break his shield before he entries? How are non movement, non dive duelists ever supposed to keep up? People use so much utility to counter Jett and Raze - why is it so busted that you would set up one instance of damage to pop his first free shield and force him to get kills for one?

Instead of buffing the wall or q they decided to buff the only skill that isn't useless

Valorant sucks so much atm because they keep making characters broken for casual to try and get them into pro level. its so cringe how different the casual comps are from anything remotely serious

riot made this change with the mindset that the shields width ( how it extends around him ) would negate this oppressiveness but it clearly didnt work
